In 2022 I built a wedding videography business to six figures in under a year. No ads. No referrals. Entirely through content on Instagram.
That sounds simple. It was not. I had just been made redundant from a corporate tech sales job. My wife was pregnant. We had bought our first home three months earlier. It was Christmas. I had no clients, no brand and no safety net.
What I did have was 14 years of freelance video work alongside full-time jobs and a sales career. I understood how to produce content and I understood how to sell. I just had never put the two together properly until I had no choice.
The wedding business worked. But it had a ceiling. One person, one camera, one weekend at a time. So I built a personal brand instead and documented exactly what I was learning. That account grew from zero to 70,000 followers and overtook the monthly revenue of my video business within six months.
Brand partnerships followed. Samsung, Kia, Meta, DJI, ManyChat. A content strategy role with School of Hard Knocks. Founders and business owners started asking how I was doing it and whether I could help them do the same.
I spent time coaching and working with people one to one. The results were good. But coaching has the same problem as wedding videography. There is a ceiling on how much impact you can have when you are just teaching rather than doing.
The agency exists because I want to go further. To build the full system for a small number of businesses and actually deliver the results rather than just explain how to get them.
